Upholstery cleaning is a delicate process that involves cleaning fabrics and materials around your home that cannot otherwise be cleaned through standard methods. These materials and fabrics include curtains, sofas, upholstered chairs or recliners, and even mattresses. While it’s possible to sometimes spot treat these kinds of fabric, throwing them into the washing machine with the rest of your laundry is usually impossible or damaging to the fabric itself. Instead, we use specialized upholstery cleaning techniques to remove dirt and stains from such delicate surfaces.
Sofas are one of the many surfaces that can be troublesome to keep clean. If your family likes to eat on the couch or your pets simply like to lounge, keeping them clean can be tough if you aren’t sure what to do. We use steam cleaning methods that work on various types of fabrics to loosen the dirt and stains and remove them with a suctioning vacuum. This method uses small amounts of heat and water, which means your couch will require some drying time before it can be used again. The drying period is very important if you want a couch that doesn’t accumulate more stains while it’s wet or doesn’t dry improperly and begin to smell.
Like your sofa, recliners often have upholstery that can’t be removed and tossed in the washing machine but can still accumulate dirt and debris just as easily as the next surface. Since recliners also have crevices and grooves and folds to be weary of, it can be difficult trying to remove all the dirt from these hard-to-reach areas on your own. Using our industrial vacuums that can reach into the grooves, we’re able to remove buildup you can’t even see from beneath the surface. Recliners have a lot of dust and dirt that can build up underneath the chair, under the cushion folds, and even behind the lever, which you’d never see unless you took the chair apart. To avoid having to do so, or buying a new chair altogether, we use our vacuums with varying nozzles to reach all those areas.
Mattresses, because of their thickness and internal springs, can also be difficult to clean using spot treatments or traditional vacuuming. Using steam cleaning methods, we’re able to add hot steam to the mattress and suction out the dirt with our steam cleaners. The dirt is then converted into the muddy water in our vacuum which is filtered and emptied at the end of the cleaning session. This technique leaves your mattress fresh and without ruining the springs or softness of it as a whole.
Curtains, because of the material they’re made from, typically can’t be washed in the washing machine. If your curtains have creases or folds that are part of their aesthetic, putting them in the washing machine or dryer is a quick way to undo their appearance. To remove the dust, stains, and allergens that likely accumulate onto your curtains over time, we offer dry cleaning services that soften the stains and lift them from the surface, leaving you with beautifully clean curtains that you can be proud of.
